We have bed bugs….what the hell to do?
Well i have been living in my place for coming up to 2 years…I’m very clean and never had any problem like this.

The girl who used to rent a room over the hall was nice and clean but she said she kept getting bitten…she moved out and that was about 7 months ago.

I moved into her room and at first everything was fine….i wash (ed) my bedding regularly, dusted and hoover every week as i like to be clean.

But the thing is, I’ve found these frigging bed bugs…we threw the bed and frame away and the landlord got me a brand new bed, i ordered it and everything was fine.

I came back from holiday last night and there were 5 of the bed bugs on my wall by the bed…and there were some little ones also.

I left and stayed in a motel last night and i got the landlord over and he was really worried. The house is brand new and clean so i don’t understand…

We are getting in the pest control people today, but i’m literally horrified…where have they come from? and do the pest control people get rid of them for ever?

I feel your pain…. I have been there fighting with nasty bed bugs…
You can easily get bed bugs, but they are really hard to get rid of.

When I found bed bugs on my bed, I was just like you; just bought a mattress.
So I really did not want to get rid of it, so I went to home depot and got sprays and foggers, but none of them worked. Then I got an exterminator but had to have him back several times because bed bugs kept coming back….

And I found Bed Bug Powder on the web. The powder is natural powder, and I would like to try it because the website also said it worked on the fleas and ticks. (I have a cat)

I just followed the instructions and bed bugs were gone away. I must say you can get bed bugs even if your place is spic and span. What you need to do first is to wash all the line items with HOT HOT water. I had to do that before using the powder.

Now I am still using the same mattress that was infected, and of course no bed bugs bites

Try the powder! it is way cheaper than pest control guys, and it works better than them

Hi. Ohh – I sympathise! They are not nice things, bed bugs, and once they get in…….

OK – firstly you did everything right – washing your bedding, changing the bed itself and frame, etc.

Bed bugs can survive in the carpets and hoovering in itself won’t cure the problem, only control it by getting shot of the mature bed bugs that have hatched. You’d need to use a proprietary product on the carpet pile itself to kill off the eggs and larvae. These things can also live, hatch and hide behind furniture even in amongst clothing – but they’re killed off in a normal wash cycle so don’t panic about that.

The pest control people know what they’re doing. They will use a trade-use-only pesticide that’s targeted at bed bugs, fleas and cockroaches that’s a type of neuro-toxin. They will spray everything in the room – and I mean everything. Once the treatment is complete and dry, there will be no smell, no residue and best of all, no bugs! They may well (depending on the pest control company in question and they’re protocols) then leave a repellent/pesticide treatment to discourage any other possible visitors, but I wouldn’t think you’ll have any more problems after the pest people have done their thing.

One thing that interests me is where did the infestation come from? Are you 100% sure they are bedbugs and not something else? Normally bed bugs come from mattresses where people haven’t been as fastidiously clean as yourselves. Now if a previous tenant from way back before you and the girl before wasn’t as clean, that could well be where they came from but I wonder – you say the house is new and you don’t mention any previous tenants. This could be a different bug getting in from outside, some type of tick I wonder? The pest people will be able to identify and deal with the problem.

i have both versions of forsaken, and i thought that they did a better job on the david draiman version honestly. He had some big shoes to fill, and in comparing the 2, i honestly prefer his. i recorded the draiman version off the radio, and a friend of mine got me the Jon Davis version. i think he found it on limewire. That was it, if i recall correctly.

But I honestly can’t think of any others.

I’ve been watching, on and off, the Twilight Zone marathon on TV and I’m coming to the conclusion that they "wrote the book" – maybe LITERALLY.

Can anyone name a plot line from an English-language SF or horror movie or TV show that wasn’t previously covered by this groundbreaking show?

Perhaps "2001: A Space Odessey" and a few others but your point is well taken. Doctor Who of course began in 1962 while the old Twilight Zone was still running. "Battlestar Galactica", one of the finest shows of recent years, was a remake of an older, very bad show from 1978…which itself was just a modern retelling of Virgil’s "The Aneid."

On the other hand, I’m not sure even Rod Serling and company ever managed to come up with a little blonde cheerleader who killed (and occaisonally slept with) vampires.

I’ve seen all the Twilight Zones and lots of sci-fi. Of course, "Twilight Zone" ripped off many great books, like an episode that was very similar to "Good-bye, Mr. Chips."

My favorite sci-fi TV plot I just saw recently, in re-runs. Star Trek’s "Voyager" gets stuck in the magnetic pull of a planet where human minutes go by like months to the people below. So when they first arrive, the people on the planet are still in a mystical stage and pray to the light in the sky that is Voyager. As Voyager continues to be trapped, the population below grows in knowledge. Voyager couldn’t beam anyone down, as anyone who did would be dead in moments. Eventually, the people down below start to bomb Voyager, as it’s inadvertantly causing earthquakes. Somehow, Voyager is able to communicate with the people on the surface eventually, and those people are so advanced scientifically, they can send up ships more advanced than Voyager to pull it out of orbit.

This kind of touches upon an original Star Trek episode, where people were on Enterprise who moved so quick they couldn’t be seen by Kirk and the gang. They only sounded like flies buzzing.

I don’t recall a Twilight Zone episode that dealt with space/time and species who were on different continuums.

How can i convince my mother to let me get help for bulimia?
