Are there any stories (books or films) like Perfume: Story of a Murderer?
I absolutely in love with that movie. I haven’t read the book, but I plan on it. Are there any other stories or films like it?
I love the soundtrack too.
I may be wrong but I was under the impression that it was a Silence of the Lambs type movie. Maybe they are only similar in that they both have quirky but frightening serial killers in them.

I haven’t seen the film, but I’ve read the novel. I think "Perfume" is unique, but if you liked its tone, then Mark Helprin’s "Winter’s Tale" might appeal to you.
And you might look for historical mysteries, of which there are many. Look for books set in the 18th century.
Here are some, on the site below. One of the posters mentions the books by the late Kate Ross. I enjoyed them and was saddened when she died young, because I was looking forward to more.
